We are a class of Year 5 children. For the Summer term, our class teachers will be Mrs Wiltshire (Monday - Wednesday) and Mrs Tumber (Thursday - Friday). Our TA is Mrs Meyer. Mrs Antliff will be teaching us PE and we have a specialist music teacher, Ms Furnell.
This year, our class is named after British poet and children’s book author, Joseph Coelho. He is the former Waterstones Children’s Laureate and is an award-winning children’s poet, playwright and children’s author. Some of his books include Smile Out Loud, Luna Loves… and Overheard in a Tower Block.

Reading is one of the most valuable skills your child will ever learn, and regular reading at home makes a huge difference to their progress, confidence, and enjoyment of books. We are encouraging every child to read every night at home – whether that’s a school reading book, a library book, or even sharing a favourite story together.
To celebrate and reward this important habit:
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning by making reading part of your daily routine – even 10 minutes a night adds up to a huge difference over the year. Together, we can help every child develop a lifelong love of reading!
