We are a class of Year 5 children. Our class teachers are Mrs Martin and Mrs Tumber. Our TAs are Mrs Meyer, Mrs Kirkham and Mrs Footer. Mrs Antliff will be teaching us PE and we have a specialist music teacher, Mr Hall.
This year, our class is named after British writer, Benjamin Zephaniah. He was well known for his poetry, particularly his ‘dub poetry’, which means that it is poetry that is performed over the beat of Reggae music. He has written poems for both adults and children. He has published several children’s poetry books, including ‘Talking Turkeys’ and ‘Funky Chickens’. He has also written children’s books and novels, including ‘Windrush Child’, ‘People Need People’ and ‘We Are Britain!’

Homework will be given out on a Monday and is due in on the following Monday. We will mark it together as a class on Fridays.
