Welcome to Lewis Carroll Class
We are a year four class taught by Mrs Fennah on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and taught by Miss King on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs Hallitt is our teaching assistant. Our PE will be taught by Mrs Antliff on a Tuesday afternoon.
This year our school have decided to name classes after famous poets, our class has been named about Lewis Carroll. Carroll is most well known for being the author of Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. Carroll also created a variety of nonsensical poems such as Jabberwocky, The Walrus and The Carpenter and How Doth the Little Crocodile.
’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”

Reading is one of the most valuable skills your child will ever learn, and regular reading at home makes a huge difference to their progress, confidence, and enjoyment of books. We are encouraging every child to read every night at home – whether that’s a school reading book, a library book, or even sharing a favourite story together.
To celebrate and reward this important habit:
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning by making reading part of your daily routine – even 10 minutes a night adds up to a huge difference over the year. Together, we can help every child develop a lifelong love of reading!
